About the job:

 

MCC has extensive experience in the manufacturing and delivery of high-quality semiconductors products, including extensive marketing and sales network throughout the world: China, Americas, EMEA, APAC.


We are looking for an experienced Field Application Engineer (FAE).


The FAE will be responsible for the technical support of our customers and Channel partners, primarily in the Americas region, with a clear focus on Discrete Semiconductor products (Diodes, MOSFETs, BJTs, IGBTs, SiC Technology, TVS & ESD protection Diodes)


Job Description:

  • Work with MCC distribution partner and customers technical team to achieve design-win´s and increase account penetration.
  • Special focus on SiC (Diodes/MOSFETs) and IGBT products.
  • Support the development of tools for sales promotion such as application kits or test boards, work with ICs partners on Ref. designs and support the creation of valuable content for promotion activities.
  • Develop and drive strategic technical plans by customer solution (prepare customer presentations and product/application trainings).
  • Support the sales teams in identifying new opportunities by maintaining excellent relationship with customer’s technical team.
  • Interface with R&D and Product Marketing on new product definition and technology requirements.
  • Collect and summarize market intelligence information and provide feedback to the respective product team.
  • Develop and drive strategic technical plans by customer solution (prepare customer presentations and product/application trainings).
  • Work with a team regionally or globally to achieve assigned tasks and objectives.
  • Attend and actively participate in strategic region meetings.


Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum BSEE/BSME or equivalent of 5 years of hands-on experience across major components of semiconductor solutions with focus on power management.
  • 5-10 years design or applications engineering experience semiconductor products and technology.
  • Sound experience in technology sales.
  • Understanding of the semiconductor industry market forces and dynamics.
  • Ability to converse with sales and marketing managers about basic business issues.
  • Effective communication, presentation, organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and activities at one time.
  • Approximate 40% travel required. Amount of travel will vary based on where candidate resides.
  • Good understanding of different types of power semiconductors (IGBT, MOSFET, Diodes) and experience in selection of devices for different applications.
  • Negotiation skills with customers facing technical challenges.
  • Must be able to speak, write, read in English.
